You may remember my original batik fabric selection didn't work out very well. I am very pleased with my second attempt though!
I'm very happy that this designs works just as well with a dark background as it did with a light background. It makes it very versatile. Come back tomorrow to see a whole collection of Starfall quilts in a variety of fabric colors and styles. My great testers were not afraid of making their own color selections and created some beautiful quilts!
UPDATE June 23, 2019: All my patterns have moved to my Etsy shop.
A beautiful design Joanne - congratulations on making it work and getting it out there! I can understand your dilemma as to which is your favourite! I look forward to seeing the testers' versions too :-)
ReplyDeleteI do love it in batiks. The dark background really makes me think of watching a meteor shower on a dark night. Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh so pretty! I really like quilts with dark backgrounds and these fabrics are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteNice strong colours. This would work well in football team colours
ReplyDeleteOooohhhhhhh! I'm not sure which one I like better! (And today, in my local quilt shop, I spied one of your patterns hanging in a very prominent location and smiled so wide because, hey, I know that lady...well, in a bloggy sense!)
ReplyDeleteI love how the dark background makes the stars really pop, but I can't see your beautiful quilting as well on the dark fabric. Both color schemes will have their place for sure. ---"Love"
ReplyDeleteThat’s a pretty version. Lovely fabrics. It would look terrific in country colours too. Or modern.
ReplyDeleteNeat design. I really like the colors in this one. Huzzah for completed quilts and patterns.
ReplyDeleteIt’s just beautiful! You have such vision.
ReplyDeleteIt's really lovely! The stars just sparkle against the dark background :) Congrats on the publication of your pattern!
ReplyDeleteBoth quilts are gorgeous, but this dark background really sings to me;)
