Right now I'm not sure why I fell out of love with it and relegated to a UFO bin for so long.
If it's going to live on this bed, something will need to be done about the wall colour...The dog doesn't care though. The quilt is 100% Rosie approved.
Again, credit for the longarm quilting goes to Liz and Stephanie of A quilted Memory in Nevada, IA.
Credit for the prairie points goes to me! So glad I managed to fix that little slip of the scissors.
Next up, adding borders to this one:
It is farther along than this photo now. It only needs borders, then I can send it off to Liz for quilting. You might notice I like this star block. It just is not possible to lose your points on this one!
Of course Rosie approves. It’s a beautiful quilt!
ReplyDeleteWow! ! ! Those are both gorgeous! ! !
ReplyDeleteYay for a completion. It looks lovely. So warm with those golds and reds.
ReplyDeleteCan hardly believe you didn't love that quilt from the beginning; it is beautiful! So is the second one also. I'm glad you decided to get it finished! I love the prairie points too. I've never tried those. ---"Love"
ReplyDeleteA beautiful quilt! The next one up is just as pretty!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stars, love them both.
ReplyDeleteHas it really been five years? I do seem to remember somewhere along the way a mention of the paint color...looks like now the quilt is done, you're going to have to make good on that! The quilt is beautiful and the next-up is also great. I'll be watching to see how it turns out because you always seem to add an unexpected twist!
ReplyDeleteAlways love a good star quilt. Congrats on your finish, it really is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI love this one--stunning! Congrats on a great finish!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt... I'm guessing the squirrels got loose to put this one on the UFO list for so long. It looks happy to be done! Great job.
ReplyDeleteIt matches Rosie's fur perfectly! No wonder she loves it. I love it too :)
ReplyDeleteVery lovely! The block is basically just like the scrappy star quilt that I just finished and you can't go wrong with that block, whether it's scrappy or color coordinated like yours!
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL finish Joanne! Glad it's Rosie-approved (and allowed). :-) Her golden tresses just go so well with the rich reds and golds though... I'm really liking the new star quilt too, but you know I love all things starry! :-)
ReplyDeleteThe quilt is gorgeous. Is it one of your patterns?
